Mantle / Mn
Cold Grey with darker, maximum mantle - Warm Brown with lighter soft edge mantle - Warm White with darker, textured asymmetrical Mantle
Mantle is typically a large marking that covers the centaurs whole backside. It can travel all the way from top of head to tip of tail.
It can cover the centaurs ears, forehead, shoulders and arms.
Marking rules
- Mantle has no layering rules and can sit over or under anything.
- Mantle can be darker or lighter than the base color. Markings color must be similar with basecolors saturation value. The color can be picked from the basecolor slider or natural color slider.
- Mantle is an uniform marking, BUT due import angles and anatomy, it can appear in the body without clear connection points. Mantle travels along the spine, and lot of spine area is not visible in the import artwork.
Marking edge & Allowed edge effects
Mantle allows 1 edge type + voluntary Halo effect
This is a solid marking, which can't have holes inside it, but allows complex edges. When using textured edge however, small speckled holes on edge area is allowed.
Real life examples
These examples represents what the marking is based on. Please keep the marking rules in mind when designing, and don't rely too heavily on real life markings carrying the same name. These examples can work as an inspiration, not direct references.
